Conviction in Springfield Murder Case



A Sangamon County jury has convicted Tremayne Willis of the July 4th, 2011 murder of a 22-year-old University of Illinois-Springfield student. 

Steven Rogers of Moline was killed when Willis fired an assault rifle into a Gradview apartment.  A bullet passed through the wall and struck Rogers in the chest.  Willis will be sentenced on September 12th.
