183rd Fighter Wing Joins Habitat for Humanity

It's not often you see forty uniformed soldiers working on building a house in Enos Park -- but that's exactly what happened Saturday as the 183rd Fighter Wing announced a new partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

Commander Mike Meyer says it's providing training, as building homes is similar to building bases overseas. He says they've entered into a three year agreement.

The duplex they're working on this weekend is on North 5th Street just south of North Grand Ave. Two families are expected to live there, with the option to purchase later with no interest loans.
